M4SD-L AM SILENCER

Griffin Armament’s GATE-LOK® Silencers became a staple in the market due to their extreme durability and the unmatched versatility of the GATE-LOK® QD mounting interface, designed to interface with milspec A2 birdcages – common to many AR-15’s on the market today – and Griffin GATE-LOK® Muzzle Devices. The M4SD-L™ AM represents the next generation of GATE-LOK® suppressor technology incorporating advanced backpressure-reducing internal geometries to yield a managed backpressure system affording right-handed shooters a low backpressure experience. Left-handed shooters should look to our M4SD-3™ AM Silencer. These silencers are constructed from Griffin’s proprietary Nickel 625X™ superalloy using state-of-the-art SLM additive manufacturing technology.

The M4SD-L™ AM Silencer features a vented flash hider end cap yielding minimal first round flash, and a managed backpressure baffle system for reduced user exposure to toxic gases. The GATE-LOK® mounting system of free of wear-prone parts, and interfaces with the muzzle device in two locations to provide perfect concentric alignment with the bore of the firearm eliminating baffle strikes and minimizing changes to POI when mounting the suppressor.

Griffin’s proprietary, patent-pending Nickel 625X™ alloy showed in testing a ~68% increase in yield and tensile strength over additively manufactured INCONEL® 625 at 1200°F.  INCONEL® 625 is a commonly used suppressor alloy in current next generation military suppressors.  Additively manufactured Nickel 625X™ is stronger at 1472°F than INCONEL® 625 cold formed sheet material at room temperature.  INCONEL® 625 cold formed material provided adequate service in the last several decades of military suppressors.
